San Francisco, April 11, 2011 -- Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation, part of the Sutter Health network, announced today the creation of a Cardiovascular Medicine Division and the addition of seven cardiologists and one internal medicine specialist to its San Francisco medical group. The eight physicians were formally part of the San Francisco-based California Pacific Cardiovascular Medical Group, Inc., which has served close to 20,000 patients annually since 1995. The physicians will continue to serve patients through their two existing locations at 2100 Webster Street and 1580 Valencia Street. All of the physicians can be reached at (415) 345-0940.
“We are extremely pleased to have this high caliber of heart specialists join our organization,” said Anabel Anderson Imbert, MD, Chief Medical Officer of Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation. “It is through the full range of highly specialized cardiac services they provide that the Foundation was able to put in place this new Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. With their expertise, we are able to bring an even greater breadth and depth of medical services to our patients.”
Richard Francoz, MD, said: “We recognize the foundation model is the way of the future and feel it provides the necessary stability in these changing times in health care.
