Medical group has more than 130 practitioners in the City
San Francisco, August 2, 2010 -- Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation announced today the addition of three new physicians to its San Francisco medical group. Kidney specialist Lawrence Lu, M.D., is accompanied by two hospitalists beginning in July – Ernest Lo, M.D., and Garmen Woo, M.D. These physicians join the Foundation’s current membership of more than 130 primary and specialty care providers in San Francisco.
Lawrence Lu, MD, joins our transplant nephrology team, providing care for kidney and pancreas transplant patients. Board-certified in both nephrology and internal medicine, Dr. Lu received his M.D. from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at University of Colorado Denver, where he also undertook a fellowship in nephrology. Dr. Lu recently completed a transplant nephrology fellowship at California Pacific Medicine Center in San Francisco. He is fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese. Ernest Lo, MD, comes to the Foundation as an internal medicine hospitalist caring for patients receiving organ transplants at California Pacific Medical Center. Dr. Lo received his medical degree from UC Davis and recently finished a residency in internal medicine at California Pacific Medical Center, where he also completed his internship. Garmen Woo, MD, specializes in internal medicine and is a hospitalist providing inpatient care at California Pacific Medical Center. She received her M.D. from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada followed by an internship and residency in internal medicine at Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland.
