Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation Welcomes Weight Loss Surgeon to San Francisco and Marin Networks

San Francisco, December 14, 2010 -- Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation announced today the addition of Gregg Jossart, M.D., to its roster of San Francisco and Marin County physicians.
Dr. Jossart is a laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgeon specializing in gastrointestinal, bariatric (weight loss) and endocrine surgery. Board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Jossart has served as Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at California Pacific Medical Center since 1999, and he has performed more than 2,500 laparoscopic procedures for complex upper abdominal problems. His professional interests include gastrointestinal surgery (gastric tumors, diaphragmatic hernias, and motility disorders); bariatric surgery; endocrine surgery (thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal); and general laparoscopic surgery (gallbladder, spleen, small intestine).
Dr. Jossart received his M.D. at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, followed by an internship and residency in general surgery at UCSF Medical Center. He also completed a two-year fellowship in endocrine surgery at UCSF Medical Center (Mount Zion), as well as a fellowship in laparoscopic surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.
