Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation Recruits Two New Pediatricians to San Rafael Pediatric Care Center

San Francisco, December 15, 2010 -- Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation announced today the addition of two new pediatricians to its Pediatric Care Center at 750 Las Gallinas Avenue in San Rafael. Katy Davis, M.D., and Inessa Gofman, M.D., join Sutter Pacific’s growing network of doctors providing primary and specialty care in Marin County. Katy Davis, M.D., is board-certified in pediatrics and holds an M.D. from Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Davis completed her internship and pediatrics residency at UCSF Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. She also earned a Master of Public Health degree from UC Berkeley. Dr. Davis became a pediatrician to promote child development and wellness in the context of healthy families and communities. As a resident, she developed a program to support primary care residents in implementing community outreach projects. Her background in community advocacy includes working with schools to improve students’ physical and mental well-being, and her personal interests include group outdoor adventures and competing in marathons and triathlons.
Inessa Gofman, M.D., a board-certified pediatrician, received her M.D. from UC Davis School of Medicine, and she completed an internship and pediatrics residency at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. Dr. Gofman’s professional interests include preventive care, child development, nutrition and complementary medicine as additional tools to promote health and healing. She is fluent in Russian.
