    New Breast Surgery Specialists Join Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation’s Surgical Breast Center

    San Francisco, December 23, 2010 -- Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation announced today the addition of two new breast surgeons and a specialized nurse practitioner to its team at the Sutter Pacific Surgical Breast Center (3801 Sacramento Street, San Francisco). Each of the three providers has expertise in caring for women with both benign and malignant breast conditions. Both surgeons work closely with reconstructive surgeons and have special training in oncoplastic surgery.

    Nima Grissom, M.D., FACS, is a board-certified surgeon who specializes in breast surgery. She received her M.D. from the University of Texas in San Antonio and did her internship and residency at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco. Dr. Grissom’s professional interests include breast evaluation and surgery for benign and malignant disorders, oncoplastic surgery, and nipple-sparing and skin-sparing mastectomy.     Amara Malik, M.D., is a breast oncology fellowship-trained surgeon. Dr. Malik holds a medical degree from Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed her internship and residency in general surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by a breast oncology fellowship at UCSF Medical Center. Dr. Malik’s professional interests include nipple-sparing and oncoplastic surgery as well as breast cancer evaluation and the treatment of benign and malignant breast disorders.     Allison Bunch, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner with certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Bunch specializes in working with high-risk breast cancer patients, including those with mutations and prior breast cancer. She received her Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of San Francisco.
