Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation Expands Sonoma County Physician Network
New Providers Include Primary Care, Rheumatology and OB/GYN

Santa Rosa, CA, October 21, 2010--Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation announced today the addition of three doctors to its physician network in Sonoma County. Kari Teran, M.D., joins the Foundation as a primary care provider. New specialists include rheumatologist Todd Hofeling, M.D., and OB/GYN Rita Wang, M.D. The addition of these physicians further increases the selection available to Sonoma County residents through the Foundation.
Kari Teran, M.D., MPH, is board-certified in family medicine and joins the Family Medicine office at 500 Doyle Park Drive, Santa Rosa. Dr. Teran received her M.D. and MPH at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston followed by a residency in family practice at Greater Lawrence Family Health Center in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She has been providing primary care to Santa Rosa residents for over twelve years. Dr. Teran speaks medical Spanish and can be reached at (707) 545-1300.
Todd Hofeling, M.D., is board-certified in internal medicine and specializes in rheumatology. A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, he graduated from the University of Utah where he was the recipient of a Presidential Academic Scholarship. After receiving his M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Dr. Hofeling completed his medical training at the University of Arizona in Tucson with a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in rheumatology. Rita Wang, M.D., MPH, specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Born in Chicago, Dr. Wang began her medical education at University of Illinois at Chicago, where she received her M.D. from the College of Medicine in Peoria and her MPH from the School of Public Health. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Wang’s professional interests include pediatric gynecology and minimally invasive surgery.
