Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides care through its affiliations with three medical groups. Our 230+ physicians provide primary and specialty medical care, research and education. We are dedicated to excellent patient care, combining the latest in medical knowledge and technology with a personal touch.
Our foundation structure enables physicians to work within a team to provide excellent care. Physicians develop and share best practices, mentor new doctors and contribute to clinical initiatives. This collegial environment attracts physicians who are patient-centered, innovative, value teamwork and are committed to excellence.
Sutter Pacific Doctors deliver health care services in San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma and Lake Counties, with additional outreach locations throughout Northern California and Nevada. Our physicians are part of the Sutter Medical Network- a network of more than 3,500 Northern California primary care and specialist physicians. The relationship between Sutter Pacific physicians and local Sutter Health facilities helps link both doctors and patients with hospital services, enabling the highest quality care delivery.
As a medical foundation, we provide our physicians with an infrastructure for administrative and operational support (office management and staff, billing services, contract negotiation, risk management, etc.), allowing doctors to focus on the practice of medicine. We provide care through affiliations with three medical groups, divided by geography:
- San Francisco County: Physician Foundation Medical Associates
- Marin County: Marin Headlands Medical Group
- Sonoma and Lake County: Sutter Medical Group of the Redwoods
We are also aligned with San Francisco-based Brown & Toland Physicians (HMO Network).
