Cardiac Electrophysiology

Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation’s cardiac electrophysiologists use advanced techniques to identify areas of the heart that cause irregular rhythms and then guide electrode catheters to these areas to treat or correct them. Our cardiac physicians oversee the Atrial Fibrillation and Arrhythmia Program at California Pacific Medical Center. They perform more than 625 catheter ablations annually of which 450 ablations are for atrial fibrillation. A survey of atrial fibrillation patients on The AFIB Report rated California Pacific Medical Center as one of the best three hospitals in the world for the treatment of atrial fibrillation.
