Psychiatry

Medical doctors who specialize in psychiatry are devoted to the study of treatment of psychiatric disorders and behavioral symptoms related to medical illness. Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation psychiatrists are board certified in general psychiatry and a wide variety of psychiatry subspecialties.
Treatment modalities include a wide spectrum of psychotherapies including short and long-term dynamic psychotherapy, dialectical behavior psychotherapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral psychotherapy (CBT) and expertise in psychopharmacology. They also provide educational programs for the psychiatry and medical residency programs at Sutter's California Pacific Medical Center and other Sutter Health locations.
