Chronic sleep problems such as snoring, sleep apnea, insomnia, and restless leg syndrome can contribute to diseases including hypertension and obesity. Affecting about 70 million Americans1, sleep problems are also linked to depression and can impact one’s well-being.
At Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation our Sleep Health Center works with individuals who have a suspected sleep disorder to provide a comprehensive evaluation and treatment options. We partner with you and your doctor to assess your sleep habits and offer solutions that fit your lifestyle so that you can return to a restful and productive nights’ sleep.
Our overnight sleep center, located at the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway Hotel in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood, provides sleep studies seven nights a week in a hotel atmosphere. A center-based sleep study is the gold-standard test for diagnosing sleep disorders, as it measures brain waves, blood oxygen level, heart rate and breathing, as well as eye and leg movements. A sleep technician sets up the study and monitors your test throughout the night.
Annually, more than 700 individuals visit our Sleep Health Center at the Holiday Inn. Benefits of this environment include on-site monitoring by our sleep technicians who are all board-certified or board-eligible with the State of California. Our technicians are on hand to answer questions, provide explanations and initiate therapy when indicated.
